Buyer FAQs
Yes. Every knife listed by We Buy Knife Collections is physically in hand, inspected, photographed, and represented directly. We do not list third-party inventory or do drop-shipping.
Pricing reflects current market value, demand, condition, and completeness. While some prices are firm, reasonable inquiries are welcome and handled professionally. Please submit any reasonable offers to knife.sales@webuyknifecollections.com and allow 24 to 48 hours for a response.
Yes, we also accept Cashapp, Venmo, and Zelle.
Due to the nature of one-of-one and limited collector pieces, we operate on a first-come basis and generally do not place holds or accept deposits.
We apply consistent and conservative grading standards. Any marks, wear, modifications, or deviations from factory or maker condition are clearly disclosed so there are no surprises when the knife arrives.
Our inventory comes from private collections, direct from custom knifemakers, and estates. Provenance and care matter, and we prioritize knives with clear history and proper stewardship.
Collector purchases should feel straightforward when expectations do not align with reality. We operate with clear return windows and condition requirements so outcomes remain fair and buyer focused.
All knives are shipped securely with appropriate protection and neutral packaging. High-value pieces receive additional care to ensure safe delivery.
International sales may be possible on sales over $5,000 on a case-by-case basis depending on destination laws and shipping logistics. Buyers are responsible for understanding local regulations and responsible for all applicable tariff.
Seller FAQs
We focus on collector-grade knives, including custom knives, select mid-tech pieces, and high-end production models with strong secondary-market demand. We do not purchase traditional slipjoints such as Case Knives or lower-value production knives. If the slipjoints are part of a broader collection, we would purchase the other knives and refer you to reliable sources to sell the traditional slipjoints.
You can submit details using our website form or email at least two clear photos per knife to knife.sales@webuyknifecollections.com, along with maker, model, condition, and whether the knife includes box, COA, or accessories.
Most submissions receive a response within 48 hours. If additional photos or information are needed, we will request them promptly.
Offers are based on condition, maker, configuration, completeness, and current collector demand. We rely on real market activity rather than automated pricing tools.
We do not purchase knives at retail value. We purchase at industry set wholesale prices.
Payment terms are discussed clearly once an offer is accepted. Timing and method are confirmed before any knives are shipped. Both parties will sign a Purchase Agreement that clearly states both the buyer and the seller’s responsibility in the transaction.
Yes. All submissions are handled discreetly. Confidentiality agreements are available upon request, and seller information is never shared without permission.
We review both individual knives and full collections. Submitting multiple pieces together often helps provide broader context, but single high-quality knives are welcome.
Estate & Executor FAQs
Yes. We regularly assist families, executors, and administrators with estate and inherited knife collections. These situations are handled with care, clarity, and discretion.
That is very common with estate collections. We help identify makers, evaluate condition, and explain the collection so informed decisions can be made without pressure.
Yes. We are equipped to review large collections and provide structured guidance, whether the goal is to sell the collection as a whole or evaluate pieces individually.
Absolutely. Estate inquiries are handled confidentially, with controlled communication and optional confidentiality agreements available.
Clear photos and any known background information are helpful but not required. We guide executors and families step by step through the process.
