Keanison Bloodhound Liner Lock #15: Four Makers, One Knife
Keanison completed this Bloodhound liner lock, ID number 15, on August 27, 2025 in the Texas hill country. Its certificate of authenticity does not read like other paperwork.
Keanison lists the model as a breed and the completion date as a DOB, because they name every knife after a dog. What that tag records is unusual: the work of four separate craftsmen in a single folder. Browse our other preowned knives for pieces documented to the same standard.
Mike Norris Fireclone 2 Damascus
Mike Norris forged this blade from Fireclone 2 damascus. He ranks among the most respected damascus smiths working in America. The pattern reads as tight concentric rings and flowing bands that shift as the blade turns in the light. No two billets produce the same figure.
Keanison ground it into the Bloodhound profile: a modified sheepsfoot with an extended thumb hole opener cut through the upper blade, jimping along the spine, and a deep belly running to the tip. The Keanison mark sits near the ricasso. Our knife knowledge library covers how smiths make pattern-welded steel.
Radmascus: Pattern-Welded Titanium
Collin Meyers of RAD Knives in Texas forged the Radmascus that makes up the bolsters, the pocket clip, and the floated backspacer. Radmascus belongs to the same family as Timascus and Mokuti. Meyers developed his own alloy combinations and his own process rather than licensing anyone else’s.
Titanium takes color through anodizing rather than pigment, so the blues, violets, and coppers moving through these bolsters are reflected light. Meyers forges the pattern into the metal itself, so it runs through the material rather than sitting on the surface. Collectors tracking this segment will find context in our guide to the most valuable custom knifemakers.
Vintage Gold Micarta and Skiff Bearings
The scales are vintage gold micarta, a warm mustard tone that reads almost amber against the cool blues of the Radmascus. Gold-toned hardware ties the two together. Keanison anodized the pivot violet.
The blade rides on Skiff bearings, made by Skiff Made Knives and widely regarded as among the finest bearing systems available to custom builders. Keanison built the frame as a titanium liner lock. Lockup sits early and solid, with no play in any direction and the blade centered when closed. See our full range of folding knives for comparable builds.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who makes Keanison Knives?
Keanison Knives is a small custom shop working full time in the Texas hill country. They handmake, hand rub, and hand finish everything. Every model carries a dog breed name, and the certificates of authenticity follow the theme.
What is Radmascus?
Radmascus is pattern-welded titanium forged by Collin Meyers of RAD Knives. It belongs to the same family as Timascus and Mokuti, but Meyers developed his own alloy blends and process. The color comes from anodizing the titanium, not from any coating.
Who is Mike Norris?
Mike Norris is an American damascus smith whose billets appear in the work of many of the country’s best custom builders. Fireclone 2 is one of his signature patterns, recognizable by its concentric rings and flowing bands.
Can this knife be carried?
Mechanically, yes. It runs on Skiff bearings and locks up solidly. That said, at this price point and in this condition most owners will keep it as a collection piece. Carry will mark the micarta and the Radmascus quickly.
How do you verify authenticity?
We check hardware, machining, materials, and maker documentation against known references. We also photograph every marking before listing. Questions are welcome on our FAQs page.
