This Yan Knives GTC Cabot is the full dress configuration: Grabak Damasteel blade, full Zircuti scales, nothing held back. Gustavo Thome Cecchini designed it, and the mechanical layout is entirely his.
The centerpiece is his SLT flipper. On a normal flipper the tab protrudes permanently, catching on pockets and interrupting the handle line. Cecchini’s spring-loaded tab does not. Pull it and the blade fires; once the blade locks open, the tab retracts flush into the frame and disappears.

The blade carries his compound grind. A deep hollow through the main body keeps the edge thin and efficient. Toward the tip it transitions to a flatter geometry that leaves material behind the point for strength.
Full Zircuti Scales and the Grabak Blade
Zircuti is a laminate of titanium and zirconium, layered and then heat treated so the layers surface as color. This set runs deep blue through violet with silver-grey veining tracing the boundaries between layers. No two panels come out alike.
Most Cabots wear carbon fiber with a Zircuti accent. This one is full Zircuti on both scales, which is the top of the material ladder for the model and the reason it carries noticeably more weight in hand.
The blade is Grabak, a Damasteel pattern in powder metallurgy stainless. It is mirror polished and then acid etched so the pattern lifts clean against the surface. The Yan phoenix marks one side and the GTC signature the other.

The Yan Knives GTC Cabot is a preowned folding knife in mint condition. Gustavo Thome Cecchini designed it. The 3.00-inch blade is Grabak Damasteel with a compound clip point and a compound grind. It is mirror polished and acid etched. Full Zircuti scales run deep blue through violet with silver veining, over bead blasted titanium liners.
An inset liner lock secures the blade. The GTC SLT spring-loaded tab fires it and then retracts flush. The pivot runs on caged bearings. An integrated titanium backspacer carries geometric tooth detailing and a teardrop lanyard slot. The Yan phoenix marks one side of the blade and the GTC signature the other.
