Tim Britton Custom T-10 Framelock Flipper with ATS-34 Two-Tone Blade and Anodized Titanium Handle
Long Product Description
The Tim Britton Custom T-10 is a preowned, excellent-condition framelock flipper from one of the most important American custom knifemakers of the modern era. This T-10 features an ATS-34 two-tone drop point blade with satin flats, tumbled grinds, dual thumb studs, assisted opening action, and blood grooves on both sides of the blade. The handle is a milled, anodized, and polished titanium frame with a matching titanium tip-down pocket clip and lockbar stabilizer.
This example has nice lockup, good detent, and clean blade seating. It comes with a zippered case and shows only a few light scratches, keeping it in excellent collector condition. At 7 1/8 inches overall, with a 3-inch blade, 4 1/8-inch closed length, and 3.3-ounce weight, the T-10 offers a compact tactical custom profile with the kind of early-era American folder character that Tim Britton collectors appreciate.
Tim Britton Custom T-10 Framelock Flipper
The Tim Britton Custom T-10 stands out because of its balance of light weight, mechanical detail, and tactical utility. The two-tone ATS-34 blade has satin flats and tumbled grinds, giving the knife a clean working finish with visual contrast. The dual thumb studs provide practical deployment options, while the assisted-open action gives the knife a fast, confident feel.
The blade’s blood grooves on both sides add a distinctive visual and functional design element. They also help separate the T-10 from more common titanium framelock folders. The drop point profile keeps the knife useful, while the tumbled grind lines and satin flats give it a refined custom presentation.
Anodized Titanium Frame and Tim Britton Legacy
The handle uses a milled, anodized, and polished titanium frame with a matching titanium tip-down pocket clip. The sculpted handle pattern creates color movement across the titanium, shifting from silver to blue, violet, and warmer tones depending on the light. The lockbar stabilizer adds confidence to the framelock design, while the overall handle shape keeps the knife comfortable and easy to control.
George Miller “Tim” Britton was known as one of North Carolina’s first professional knifemakers and began making knives in the early 1970s. His career connected him to the golden era of American custom knifemaking, with influences and contemporaries including Frank Centofante, Blackie Collins, Jimmy Lile, Ted Dowell, Bob Loveless, Bob Dozier, and other major names in the custom knife world. This T-10 reflects the later tactical side of Britton’s work, pairing titanium construction with a practical blade profile and collector-friendly execution.
