The foundation is already impressive. CKF built the knife around a one-piece titanium integral frame, a 3.75-inch Böhler M390 blade, bearing-driven flipper deployment, and a titanium frame lock. However, the “Blade of Socrates” customization moves serial number 141 beyond its original production configuration and firmly into the collectible art-knife category.

Peter Rassenti Persian Integral Design
Peter Rassenti designed the Persian with a sweeping trailing-point blade, pronounced belly, and elevated tip. Its flowing profile complements the curved titanium handle while giving the knife an unmistakable visual identity.
The 3.75-inch Böhler M390 blade features a two-tone finish that combines satin surfaces with a contrasting gray treatment. A hollow grind creates a defined transition between the blade flats and cutting bevels, while the flipper tab operates the blade through a bearing pivot system.
CKF machined the primary handle structure from a single piece of titanium. This integral construction eliminates the conventional arrangement of two separate handle scales joined by a backspacer. As a result, the frame presents a continuous profile from the pivot to the handle’s rear.
A titanium frame lock secures the blade, while a steel lock-bar insert strengthens the contact surface. The customized patterned pocket clip supports right-handed, tip-up carry.

AlchemistEDC “Blade of Socrates” Engraving
Allen Guieb of AlchemistEDC transformed the Persian’s titanium frame with a named composition titled “Blade of Socrates.” Deep black engraving contrasts against the warm antique-gold-toned titanium, creating depth while preserving the handle’s original contours.
The show side features classical figures, architectural forms, layered scrollwork, and a prominent winged figure. The composition flows around the pivot and continues across nearly the entire handle.
Meanwhile, the clip side introduces serpents, floral imagery, a classical female face, and additional ornamental elements. The treatment continues around the frame rather than stopping at the broad handle surfaces.
AlchemistEDC also customized the patterned pocket clip and engraved the integral handle spine. Interwoven knotwork, stylized figures, and a central CKF shield motif make the spine an important part of the overall composition.
